Also called an InboundLink(IBL) these links are important in determining the popularity (or importance) of your Web site. Some search engines, includingGoogle will consider Web sites with more backlinks more relevant in search results pages. May also be written as two separate words, back link.

Backlinks, also known as incoming links, inbound links, in links, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node.

Getting Quality Backlinks-

The good practice of backlinks exchange will be making stand. There are following types of incoming links to your site:

  1. One way inbound links. This type of in links gives you more value and better results. One-way incoming links are links that peak to your site from other websites.

2.Reciprocal inward links. It is not popular now days. Search spiders do not like these links like they do. I would be better to get one-way backlinks which give you better results and functionality.

Reciprocal Link Exchanges:-

This link exchange occurs when one webmaster puts a link on their website to point to another webmasters website. Many of these were not relevant links and were just disregarded by search engines. The inbound links were not counted but the outbound links were still counted which lowered the relevancy score of many websites and caused them to drop off the Google map.
